Stepped in a huge pile of Oliver's shit without realizing, and tracked it all over McKinney's side room.

Then made the mistake of carrying half an 18 pack through North Park on the walk home, and got hit up for beers by some weird old dude trying to tell Jim his life story because they shared the same name.

Then again for a beer and cig from a seemingly normal looking group of two dudes and two chicks that quickly turned into a group of tweaker bums as we got closer. Had to pull the walkaway move as the girl relentlessly tried to buy more beers from me.

Our nightcap on the walk home brought two chicks looking like hookers walking in front of us, and some dude we thought was their pimp crossing the street towards them yelling, "where's your sister at?" and "speak fucking english." Turns out they were just a bunch of drunken idiots from out of town as the dude stumbled towards his expensive ride, telling the chick to shut up when she said he shouldn't be driving.

Bloody Mary's and Scotch at 9am never hurt anyone. At least not this time. A quick walk down the aisle later with my wedding partner, whom I'm sure everyone was looking at instead of me, and were sweatin out the ceremony in the sun. Then a photo session, where the golfers threaten to tee off at us, and kick us out, followed by a great best man speech from Matt.

After the ceremony and reception, most of us end up at Zam house, and then make the walk to OB. Passing the beach folk as we go, Zam and I end up hangin with some street peeps.

We hand out about 10 beers and half a pack of smokes, and enjoy the ocean air and view. Zam trippin on the last remaining bird of a flock, that's still posted up on the edge of the beach where the sand meets the wall. Unafraid of the water crashing inches away from him, while all his homies had flown off.

Then on down the beach for a more secluded spot, and a sunset that looked like a hot air baloon sinking into the water.

After sun down, we stumbled our way along the waterfront to Newport Pizza. One of us talking about nachos, and philly cheesesteaks the whole way.

Finally back to Zam's and then NP, but things get kinda hazy from there as only pieces of the night bring themselves to the surface. Edmond sisters doing Yoga in the side yard. Lisa and Kris passed out on the couch. Chris telling us all how handsome we are. Trying to play Seinfeld with the slap bass on the keyboard, but failing miserably. Shakus and Eric showing up. Some other dude showing up. Then eventually just giving in and making a b-line to bed for some much needed rest. Good company, and good times.

After the instructional course on walking in a straight line for Greg's wedding (which I surely would have screwed up without Lisa telling me what to do) we went up north to scenic Rancho Bernardo, the jewel of San Diego, for the dinner and after party.

Oscar's catering and many drinks were to be had, which greased the wheels for some interesting speeches on the importance of the bride and groom spending as much "time" together as possible.

The iconic Instant Replay was our next stop. A quick head count of over 20 people inside was potentially the most packed this dive bar has ever been.

Mingled with the Bostonians in from out of town, and ran into old bullshit artists from time's past. Then finally back down to NP for a few hours sleep before being up at 7:30 for the wedding.

North Park has offered up a lot good bands this year, and the Soda bar had another one tonight. The kind of band that makes you want to give more than the three or four courtesy claps after each song. Amazing drums and vibraphone perfectly blend with the guitar in the Mattson 2, for a jazz/surf kind of fusion. Peep em if you get the chance.

Just Witnessed the Craziest Shit Ever!!!

2:00am. After watching the most epic, thought provoking episode of Lost with Edmond and Jim, we ventured out to the porch to smoke a cigarette, and talk about what we just watched. In the middle of conversation as we're coming up with possible theories, we hear a strange noise coming from the alley twenty feet away. Everyone gets quiet for a moment as we look up the street and listen closer. Just then we see a car come flying through the alley going at least 60-70 miles an hour. It hits the street that separates the two connecting alley's and bottoms out. Sparks fly as the car turns 90 degrees and literally (no exaggeration) flies across the street sideways, and lands on the other side where the next alley starts, and we here a loud CRASH! A couple seconds go by, and we see flashing lights from up the alley, followed by a cop just behind him.

Our minds still trying to comprehend what we just witnessed, we hear "get out of the car now, hands on your head!!" Not knowing if the dude was still alive, or if he crashed into someones window in the apartment complex, I run inside to grab my iPhone, and this is story, and video reaction to the aftermath we witnessed.

Tyrell Martin lays face down in the middle of the alley. Hands cuffed behind his head. The cop stands above him with his flash light condescendingly asking where he was going, and that he should have thought about "that." By this time, we have walked across the street, to get a better view of what the hell just happened, as he had crashed on the same side of our house. Tyrell tells the cop he only had one beer. We try to hold in our laughter, which probably sounds of the muffled variety, where you're not sure you should be laughing, or what exactly you just saw. We then hear him say he was about to go in the Navy next month, and that he had the highest scores out of everyone.

As the cop continues his apathy towards Tyrell's well being, he notices us standing there and stops his taunting, to pull him up by the cuffs, and put him in his car. As he walks by the crumbled front end of car he just wrecked, we hear Tyrell say, "she's gonna kill me man, she's gonna kill me!" While he's walking away from the wreck, we start to walk back inside ourselves, and see the huge telephone pole he smashed into, leaning completely sideways. Later we realize, he broke the bottom of the huge pole, and knocked it completely out of ground about six feet, where it somehow stood standing.

We venture back to our porch to grab another beer and watch what happens next. A few minutes go by, and eventually 10 cop cars show up. Obviously the highlight of their night. We hear them laughing, and joking, while the guy sits in the back of the cop car. None of them seem to give a shit about whether he's seriously injured or not. They shine their flash lights at the telephone pole, and finally realize what it took three drunks to realize ten minutes ago. That they should move their car, and stop standing under a huge telephone pole that's about to fall on them.

As the paramedics finally show up, a good 30 minutes after a man crashed into a pole at 70 miles an hour, they casually get out and stroll over to the cops to share some laughs. A few minues later, they finally decide to bring the guy out of the cop car to have a look at him, and see whether he's close to death or not. Miraculously, he seems ok. Half the cops leave, probably to score some free donuts at 7-11, and the remaining officers gather around to interrogate the suspect, and see how much info they can get off him.

They then proceed with a series of impressive sobriety tests, which Tyrell naturally fails. They ask him where he was coming from, and what he's been drinking. He tells them, "Steel Reserve" and that he, "only had two." They then have him lean his head back, and say "stop" when he thinks 30 seconds has passed. Tyrell starts counting out loud. The lead officer tells him not to count out loud, but he does anyway. Failed that one. They move on to the next test. They tell him to count down from 75 to 55. These cops have really improved their tests. Next they have him spell out the alphabet. Not backward, but forward, and he has to thoroughly pronounce each letter. As he inaudibly goes through the motions, he sticks his hands out as if to say, "no no" and then he bows apologetically, and motions for them to hold on and give him another try. Failed that one. Then they tell him to put his arms at his sides, and walk slowly toward the lead officer, taking big steps, and lifting his leg high in the air. Tyrell naturally starts doing so, as the officer is showing him what he is supposed to do. The cop tells him not to start until he says so. He keeps trying to take a step, but almost falls over. The officer finally gives up. Failed that one too.

They finally take him away, for what will surely be a completely different direction in life than the one he was on. We venture back inside, having witness the craziest episode of lost ever, and the craziest shit we've ever seen in person, of a car not twenty feet away, flying at high speeds across the street sideways, and crashing into a telephone pole/wall. Nice welcome to the new pad.

Hollywood bound with Glenn, Lisa, Feria, Steve, and Jessica, to see Adam Carolla's live podcast.

Met up with Kris for some amazing Cuban sandwhiches at Porto's, then on to check out Philip Frost and Barry McGee's Mind the Gap, at the Prism Gallery before the show.

Then to the LA Improv for the podcast with Carolla, Dr. Drew, Ralph Garman, and Doug Benson. We sat right next to the PA where we met Donny, who was badass. Coolest, most down to earth dude you'll find that also resembles a 70's porn star. Adam was about a half hour late because he thought the show started at 8:00 instead of 7:30, so Ralph Garman went up and told stories of the old days living with Adam. Adam then showed up to the right of us at the end of the hallway drinking a beer, looking like a boxer waiting to make his entrance to the ring.

We ordered two buckets of beers ourselves, and proceeded to laugh our ass off for about an hour at Carolla's signature rants and humor. They went a bit long with Drew, so we only got to see a few minutes of Doug Benson, which was a bit of a bummer. We then saw Doug and Nick Swardson outside hanging, where I'm sure they were being harrased by members of the audience, after Doug promised he'd get high with anyone who wanted to, in an effort to make up for the shortened set.

Then on to Canters for some signature LA Deli sandwhiches, and a live band that sounded like early GN'R, if they had two Japanese dudes on bass and drums.

After that we went to the Standard, for Jessica's cousin's birthday. Glenn treated us to some $8 beers as we hung out by the fire pit outside.

As we waited for the elevator, Doug Benson showed up in the lobby, which was crazy considering we were about 10 miles down the freeway from the Improv. We told him we were at the show, and I'm sure he was totally creeped out, as it looked like we followed him into the elevator afterwards. We told him we were going to a party on the 12th floor, and he fained interest as we invited him to cruz with us. As the doors opened, I stepped out thinking it was our floor, but he put his hand in front of me saying it was him, probably thinking we we're just gonna walk to his room and try to hang. He walked away saying "1208 right?" The doors shut, and we had a good laugh at the fact he had no intention of going whatsoever. Nice dude though.

We showed up to a trashed suite, and realized we gave Benson the wrong room number. As we walked through the gauntlet of what could only be two dudes talking about a fight that just went down, a quick scan of the room revealed one guy passed out face down, and yet another in full tears over what must have been chic drama. I turned down the offers of grey goose from a bottle covered in blood, and asked why no one had touched the Patron yet. Apparently it was, "being saved for the white guy." My smile quickly turned to confusion, as the homie offered me some "lemonade" and tried to mix the Patron with Squirt.

We crashed at Kristine's, and finally closed out the weekend with a pastrami rueben dog at the infamous Pink's. Not a bad end to a great weekend.
